OTA Urges Any Tenants Dealing with the Aggressive Developer, Tenacity, to Contact OTA ASAP!

In an e-mail to the entire tenant community, OTA is urging tenants dealing with or with knowledge of, Tenancity's activities, to contact OTA! OTA needs your help to rein in Tenacity's abuses of tenants' rights and the rental laws! The letter states, as follows:

The Office of the Tenant Advocate has received a number of complaints regarding the aggressive tactics of Tenacity. We know that some of you are working with tenants in buildings targeted by Tenacity. We need to know the depth of Tenacity’s efforts in converting rental housing to condos. You can assist us by providing the following information:

The property address of buildings targeted by Tenacity.
Is the building pre-conversion or post conversion?
Is there a tenant association for the building?
If so, the contact information for the president.
Is a nonprofit working with tenants in the building?
If so, the name and contact information of the person working with the tenants.

Once we gather this information all of us working to maintain affordable housing will know how many buildings Tenacity has targeted or expressed an interest, however subtle. Please provide me with this information as soon as possible. We would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Feel free to share this request with other nonprofits and tenant activists. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. My contact information is provided below.
