The 2nd Annual OTA Tenant/Tenant Association Summit will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2009, at the Kellogg Conference Center on the campus of Gallaudet University, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The event is free and open to the public.

This year's event promises to be even bigger and better than last year's.  Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton will deliver the keynote address and featured speakers will include Councilmembers Vincent C. Gray, Muriel Bowser, Jim Graham, and Harry Thomas, Jr. 

The Summit will consist of a general session and breakout sessions covering a host of tenant-related subjects, including:

*    Developing an Emergency Preparedness Plan for Apartments with American Red Cross Emergency Response Coordinator Lisa McGee
*    Bedbug and Other Pest Control with renowned bedbug expert Dr. Richard Kramer
*    New Lead Hazard Prevention law with lead expert Gian Cossa of the DC Department of the Environment
*    Improving the Rental Housing Act with panels of expert tenant attorneys
*    Effective Tenant Associations with representatives of some of the largest TA's in the District
*    Renters Insurance and much more!
